MTV Remember when they played music videos? Apparently they think they still do! In anycase a very cool clip! They should put this on the the air!

To make the film, balloons were fastened onto a 200 meter long rail, and lined up via laser guide. “To achieve a moving picture effect, 10 balloons had to be popped per second, or 600 balloons per minute,” Caldeira says. “It took nearly 24 straight hours to shoot the multiple takes needed.”http://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-blog/2011/may/mtv-balloons

A little game I used to play with my roomates during college, loose word association. Pick a topic say the first word that comes to mind. Usually this game ends up going something like, fish, water, glass, tap, knock, knockout, punch, boxing Muhammad Ali, civil rights …. you get the idea quit tangential. I tried to use this same concept but a bit more strict to describe social media. Keeping some logic and order to my feelings about different social medias. Whatcha think?

yah well …

Video: The Network Revolution
Produced by Ahmed Shihab-Eldin & Ben Connors

Youtube, Facebook and Twitter have become the new weapons of mass mobilisation; geeks have taken on dictators; bloggers are dissidents; and social networks have become rallying forces for social justice.

As people around the world challenge authorities, from Iran to Tunisia, Egypt to Yemen, entire societies are being transformed as ordinary citizens see the difference, imagine the alternative, and come together to organise for a better future.

So, are social networks triggering social revolution? And where will the next domino fall
